A parent is a child\u2019s first teacher and lifelong advocate. Parents and caregivers hold extraordinary power to change outcomes for their children and improve the quality of their community. But they often don\u2019t have a seat at decision-making tables. We\u2019re working to change that. Rocketship\u2019s Education Organizing teams exist to build power within people. We\u2019re committed to serving families and one key way we do this is by partnering with parents through each school\u2019s Organizing Committee. We strive to elevate parent and family voices so they can create short and long-term local change.<\/p>\n

We believe every parent can become a leader in their school and community. Parents who get involved in this work aren\u2019t elected and don\u2019t need any past experience. As they learn about new issues affecting their community and acquire new skills, we hope families use their experiences at Rocketship to build power and create change in their communities for generations to come.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t
