Hoy hablamos con Daniela Rosales, profesora de ciencias en Rocketship Delta Prep y fundadora del peri\u00f3dico estudiantil de la escuela, The Delta Times. Este programa ha sido un \u00e9xito rotundo entre los estudiantes. El a\u00f1o pasado, cuando Daniela estaba en su primer a\u00f1o como especialista en intervenci\u00f3n para educaci\u00f3n especial, vio una oportunidad fuera de su funci\u00f3n habitual y puso en marcha el programa piloto. Tuvo tanto \u00e9xito que recibi\u00f3 m\u00e1s de 60 solicitudes de estudiantes para el siguiente trimestre en las primeras tres horas.<\/p>\n<p>Desde entonces, Daniela se inscribi\u00f3 en Rivet School, el socio de acreditaci\u00f3n de Rocketship, para convertirse en maestra certificada y tambi\u00e9n se uni\u00f3 al Latinx Teachers Fellowship de Latinos for Education. Y tambi\u00e9n hago que los estudiantes firmen contratos de comportamiento antes de que comiencen para que sepan que si tienen alg\u00fan problema en clase, eso es una falta. Si acumulas tres faltas, est\u00e1s fuera del club. As\u00ed que los estudiantes que ten\u00edan problemas de comportamiento se est\u00e1n comportando mucho mejor en clase porque saben que soy realmente seria y que los expulsar\u00e9 del club si no se comportan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Kimberly, Nave espacial: <\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">S\u00ed, esa es una gran idea. Entonces, parece que es un incentivo para las personas porque hay mucho inter\u00e9s en este club, por lo que ayuda a las personas a tener un buen desempe\u00f1o en otros aspectos de la escuela. Entonces, creo que es genial que les est\u00e9s inculcando eso tan j\u00f3venes que esto es algo que pueden-<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Daniela Rosales, Rocketship Delta Prep: <\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">S\u00ed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Kimberly, Nave espacial: <\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">... han estado expuestos a la escritura.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Daniela Rosales, Rocketship Delta Prep: <\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Creo que se sienten muy orgullosos al ver su escritura publicada y al ver a los ni\u00f1os leer su escritura y hablar sobre ella.
