Es el Mes de la Historia Afroamericana y nuestras 23 escuelas lo celebran con lecciones especiales de historia, oradores invitados, presentaciones de estudiantes y mucho m\u00e1s. El Mes de la Historia Afroamericana es un recordatorio importante para detenernos y reflexionar sobre las incre\u00edbles contribuciones que los afroamericanos han hecho a nuestro pa\u00eds y a cada una de nuestras comunidades individuales.<\/p>\n

Al honrar la historia negra, tambi\u00e9n debemos reflexionar sobre lo que estamos haciendo hoy para construir un futuro m\u00e1s justo y equitativo para estudiantes de todas las razas, or\u00edgenes, habilidades y culturas. En Rocketship, una de las muchas maneras en que llevamos esta creencia a la pr\u00e1ctica es enfatizando la representaci\u00f3n en nuestras comunidades escolares. 30% de nuestros maestros y l\u00edderes escolares se identifican como negros, y 30% de nuestros estudiantes en nuestra red nacional tambi\u00e9n se identifican como negros. La representaci\u00f3n es incre\u00edblemente importante para que nuestros estudiantes negros se vean reflejados en sus maestros, pero tambi\u00e9n es importante que nuestros estudiantes no negros tengan maestros negros.
