La pr\u00f3xima semana, los Rocketeers celebrar\u00e1n la Semana de la Educaci\u00f3n en Ciencias de la Computaci\u00f3n uni\u00e9ndose al \"Hora del C\u00f3digo<\/a>, un evento educativo internacional de codificaci\u00f3n. Con esta introducci\u00f3n temprana a la codificaci\u00f3n, los j\u00f3venes Rocketeers pueden nutrir sus habilidades de resoluci\u00f3n de problemas y l\u00f3gica, y expresar su creatividad. Nuestros estudiantes se convertir\u00e1n en el futuro de la medicina, la pol\u00edtica, el derecho y la educaci\u00f3n. Una s\u00f3lida base STEM les ayudar\u00e1 a continuar en un camino universitario y abrir\u00e1 puertas a carreras en las ciencias.<\/p>\n

Dado el creciente papel de la tecnolog\u00eda en nuestra sociedad, las carreras de inform\u00e1tica sin duda tendr\u00e1n un gran impacto en nuestro futuro. Veo la alfabetizaci\u00f3n tecnol\u00f3gica como una clave para el \u00e9xito futuro de nuestros estudiantes. Pero tambi\u00e9n s\u00e9 que los estudiantes de color y las mujeres est\u00e1n muy subrepresentados en los campos STEM. Seg\u00fan la Fundaci\u00f3n Nacional de Ciencias, solo el 18% de los t\u00edtulos de inform\u00e1tica se otorgan a estudiantes de color. En Rocketship, esperamos cambiar eso.<\/p>\n

Nos estamos uniendo como una red y asoci\u00e1ndonos con Code.org<\/a> junto con decenas de millones de estudiantes en m\u00e1s de 180 pa\u00edses de todo el mundo.
