The 21-22 school year is particularly special not only because we are finally back in the classroom, but because this fall marks FIFTEEN years of Rocketeers! In 2006, the very first Rocketship School, Rocketship Mateo Sheedy, welcomed students in a church in San Jose, CA (have you read our founding story?).
Throughout August, our Rocketeers across the nation trickled back into classrooms, starting in Nashville, then Milwaukee, California, and finally Washington DC. To celebrate a historic back to school season, we’ve compiled some of our favorite #RocketshipFirstDay photos submitted by parents and staff. Check them out below, and thank you to everyone who submitted!

“Rocketship School Leaders truly are one of a kind. It was so great seeing them in action as they welcome students back to campus, lead launch outside and from the office, and greet everyone with immense joy. Their thoughtfulness and care in this difficult time to ensure kids get to be together at school is truly inspiring. It’s also always fun joining them for a launch dance or two! Kids are so happy to be back!” –Kylie Alsofrom, former Rocketeer
