After being a special education teacher in Milwaukee Public Schools for five years, Ms. Harvey Joined Rocketship Transformation Prep in 2018 as a founding ISE teacher. Mia grew up on the Northside of Milwaukee, where she also went to high school and college, and it is then that she committed to ensuring better education for students that looked like her and her daughter, Taniya. She later moved on to be a founding Assistant Principal at RTP and is now Interim Principal. Ms. Harvey holds her Masters in Professional Development and Reading from Alverno College. She has also continued her education at Alverno receiving her Reading Teachers, Reading Specialist, and now Principals license. She is looking to start her Doctorate of Educational Leadership program in 2024.
