What Makes Rocketship Different?

We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to student learning.
We focus on academic growth through personalized, project-based, and rigorous learning that accelerates the highest achieving students as well as students with the greatest needs.

We’re hiring excellent local educators who offer both windows and mirrors.
We hire the best and most qualified teachers to serve our students. We also believe that students need educators who bring new perspectives (windows), as well as represent their background, community, and cultural perspectives (mirrors). That is why we strive to create a more diverse workforce with educators that bring a rich variety of experiences, ideas, and perspectives to our classrooms.

We offer a CareCorps program to support the whole family.
We provide social-emotional learning, have a mental health provider on campus, and have a CareCorps program that connects families with local resources to support them outside of the classroom.

We ensure parents’ voices are heard.
Parent power is a driver of our school identity. We partner with parents as co-educators to ensure parents’ voices are at the forefront of our school design and operations. Founding families help name the school, choose its fifth core value, as well as enrichment courses.

US News & World Report has named seven Rocketship California schools as among the Best Elementary Schools in the nation!
US News has been the authority in ranking universities and high schools for many years, and this year is the first they’ve started ranking elementary and middle schools. These rankings are based solely on test scores – meaning that our schools are among the top in the nation, regardless of zip codes. As the most populous state in the country, we are competing against an enormous number of schools – yet we come out ahead.
