Seven Rocketship California Schools Recognized Among Top Performers in the State

At Rocketship Public Schools, we believe every child deserves an excellent education that opens doors to opportunity. This month, that belief and the hard work it takes to make it real was recognized across California.

Seven Rocketship schools earned two exclusive markers of student achievement: the Innovate Public Schools “Top Schools” recognition and the Educational Results Partnership (ERP) Honor Roll. Together, these awards celebrate schools that are not just meeting expectations, but exceeding them for the students who need it most.

Celebrating Our Top Schools

Five Rocketship schools were named Top Schools by Innovate Public Schools for closing opportunity gaps and helping more students reach grade-level standards in math and reading.

• Rocketship Alma Academy – Top Elementary School for Black students in Math
• Rocketship Rising Stars Academy – Top Elementary School for Latino students in Math
• Rocketship Futuro Academy – Top Elementary School for Latino students in Math
• Rocketship Brilliant Minds – Top Elementary School for Latino students in Math
• Rocketship Los Sueños Academy – Top Elementary School for Latino students in Math

The Innovate Public Schools “Top Schools” list shines a spotlight on campuses where Black and Latino students are achieving at higher levels, helping close long-standing opportunity gaps. For Rocketship, this recognition strikes at the heart of our mission: equity and excellence for every student.

Honoring Academic Excellence

Two Rocketship schools were also recognized by the Educational Results Partnership (ERP) on its 2024 Honor Roll:

• Rocketship Mosaic Elementary
• Rocketship Spark Academy

ERP’s Honor Roll celebrates schools that are among the top 20% statewide in English Language Arts and Math, based on multiple years of state data. Unlike the Innovate recognition, which focuses on progress among historically underserved student groups, the ERP Honor Roll measures success across all students of every race, income level, and background.

That makes this honor especially meaningful, showing that Rocketship schools are not only advancing equity, but also achieving exceptional results for every child in their classrooms.
