Latoya Pearson, Principal, Rocketship Infinity Community Prep
Latoya began her career in education as an English and special education teacher, serving students from elementary, middle, and high school grade bands. After joining a charter network in 2014, she began her transition into leadership, serving as an instructional coach and overseeing departments of special education teachers. After completing an internal leadership program, she took on the role as principal of an elementary school, and then a K-8 school. During this time, Latoya oversaw the operational, cultural, and academic success of her school. Prior to joining Rocketship, Latoya served as the Director of Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) for a charter school in Philadelphia. Latoya earned a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, a master’s degree in elementary and secondary school counseling from Wilmington University, and a master’s degree in educational leadership.
