Why I’m Thankful: A Student Perspective

I think Thanksgiving is fascinating because you get to hang out with your cousins, your aunts, your grandma, and your family. It’s great because your dad doesn’t have to go to work.

While the turkey is cooking, my cousins and I play together. When it’s time to eat, we all sit down at the table together: my grandma, my sister, my baby brother (Alex), my parents, and all my cousins! It gets kind of noisy, but it’s fun because that means everyone is together.

My favorite Thanksgiving food is definitely the turkey with a side of mashed potatoes. My house is filled with smells of Thanksgiving! I’m thankful for a lot of things. I’m thankful for my parents for doing nice things for me like signing me up for Rocketship. My dad is always there for me.

Sometimes when I get into trouble, my dad talks to me about how I can do things differently. I’m also really thankful for my teachers being by my side. I’m thankful for Legos because you get to build things and break them apart. I am thankful that I get to go to Rocketship to learn.

I have so much to be thankful for.
