California’s Department of Education on Wednesday announced the 323 honorees in the Distinguished Schools Award Program for 2020. Three Rocketship schools made the list: Rocketship Fuerza, Rocketship Mosaic, and Rocketship Spark.
The awards are based on performance on standardized tests as well as attendance and suspension rates. Schools with a high number of economically disadvantaged students can qualify by demonstrating academic improvement as well as meeting a baseline in the other areas.
