The Future Starts Here!
New PK3-2nd Grade School Opens in August 2020
The world and workforce is rapidly changing. Will your child’s education keep up? We teach students to solve problems like engineers, think out of the box like artists, and develop the social-emotional skills they need to become future leaders. Our instructional model is focused on personalized learning to meet the unique needs of every student we serve. And our curriculum emphasizes STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) to prepare our students for the opportunities of the future. In August 2020, we are proud to open our 20th campus just two blocks from the Fort Totten Metro Station in Ward 5!
Our STEAM Focus Prepares Your Child For The Future
A bright future starts early. We believe that elementary education should set a solid foundation to prepare today’s students for the opportunities of the future. We do this through a unique Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) curriculum that is integrated into daily lessons. Social-emotional learning is also incorporated into our school day using research-based curricula designed to create a safe, joyful, and nurturing space for students.
Teachers Specialize By Subject
Unlike most elementary schools, Rocketship students learn from several different teachers every day. Students rotate between four main learning blocks every day: Humanities (language and literacy), STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), Learning Lab (project-based learning, tutoring, and online learning) and Enrichments (art, music, physical education).
Rocketship DC schools are top tier schools known for academic results and a holistic approach to personalized learning. Both of our DC schools achieved Tier 1 status — the highest ranking for DC Public Charter Schools — in their very first year. We are proud that our Rocketeers significantly outperform their peers at neighboring schools in every community we serve.
Rocketship schools are top tier schools known for academic results and a holistic approach to personalized learning. We have launched 19 elementary schools across the country since opening our first school in Silicon Valley over ten years ago.
